While I wouldn't consider myself to fall under the tag amateur photographer, I'm a long shot from being even remotely professional. I'm a hobbyist. The camera is a tool for me to create something that brings me a little joy in otherwise dull days filled with work and school. This SmugMug page is here to showcase my photos that I've taken mostly with the art of photography in mind. Formerly I would pool all of these shots on <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/thebrady/">my Flickr</a> account, but I found they would get mostly lost among random shots of my friends and I doing stupid things. Over time this caused me to add fewer and fewer photos to my Flickr account. I wouldn't have enough time to go out and shoot the ones that would make me proud, but I didn't want to put up the fun random shots or even camera phone pictures because they were detracting from all my favorites. Now I'm turning my Flickr account into my "photoblog" while SmugMug will be the place to view some of the shots I've come to enjoy from my camera. I get the best of both worlds. SmugMug has the perfect gallery set up to organize and show high resolution photos that (sometimes) make me proud.
